His mustache and red bulbous nose give him a charming and idiosyncratic expression. With a pipe in his mouth, he appears relaxed and serene as he works at his craft. In front of him lies a checkerboard pattern of paving, carefully arranged and underscoring the quality of his work.In his right hand, he holds a hammer, and in his left hand, he proudly displays a paving stone, part of his work. A spirit level and other utensils are within easy reach on the platform.The brown buttons on his coat harmonize perfectly with the warm wood tones from which he was crafted.
